How it works, step by step
What happens between the request and the result.
Find the certificate ID
The ID is printed on the ACLAS certificate, degree certificate and transcript. Graduates can also retrieve it from the campus.
Enter it in the lookup
The verification tool runs on the ACLAS campus at aclas.college.
Read the result
The lookup returns the record the college holds for that ID. A credential that cannot be matched is not an ACLAS award.

How do I verify an ACLAS certificate?
Use the free public verification lookup on aclas.college and enter the unique certificate ID printed on the award. No account or payment is needed.
Is a FERPA-protected record being disclosed?
ACLAS states that it does not receive federal funding, so FERPA is not legally binding on it, but that it adheres to FERPA standards voluntarily to safeguard student records. Information submitted through the verification portal is used exclusively for verification.
What if the lookup does not recognise the ID?
A credential that the lookup cannot match is not a verified ACLAS award. Contact the college before drawing a conclusion, since IDs can be mis-transcribed.
Is this enough for an employer's formal check?
For a formal third-party check, employers usually use Qualification Check (UK), which confirms authenticity directly with the college and issues a report.

An apostille authenticates the signature and seal on an academic document so that it is legally valid outside the country that issued it. ACLAS arranges this for its degrees and transcripts under the Hague Convention.

The International Evaluation and Certification Center lists ACLAS credentials so that employers and universities can authenticate them instantly, and can issue a standardised evaluation report for a fee.
